Brand New: A Stylish Script Font for Handmade Labels, Invitations, and Packaging

Brand New Adds a Personal Touch to Candle Labels and Product Packaging

As a maker who crafts custom candles and artisanal soaps, I’m always looking for fonts that feel both luxurious and authentic. When I first tested Brand New, a stylish and natural-looking handwritten font, on a candle label mockup, I was immediately struck by how it elevated the design. The soft curves and natural flow of this script handwritten font gave my candle labels a boutique-quality feel. Unlike overly polished fonts, Brand New feels like it was written by hand—perfect for small-batch product packaging where authenticity matters.

Brand New for Wedding Invitations and Elegant Branding

One of the most satisfying uses of Brand New was in a wedding invitation suite I recently designed. I paired it with a clean serif font for the body text and used Brand New for the couple’s names and event title. The result was stunning—elegant, romantic, and deeply personal. This font works beautifully for handmade wedding stationery, boutique tags, and even welcome signs. Its natural variation in stroke weight gives it dimension and charm, making your designs feel more intimate and less mass-produced.

Brand New Works Well for Planner Pages, Digital Printables, and Sticker Sheets

If you create digital downloads like planner pages or sticker sheets, Brand New is a fantastic choice. I used it in a monthly digital planner layout for a client, and the handwritten aesthetic gave the design a warm, approachable feel. Because it’s a script handwritten font, it’s ideal for titles, decorative headers, and short phrases rather than long paragraphs. For digital stickers, I found that Brand New scaled well both large and small, maintaining readability even at moderate sizes. Just keep in mind that very tiny cuts on a Cricut or Silhouette may lose some of the font’s delicate details.

Brand New Adds Personality to Tote Bags, Mugs, and Boutique Merchandise

I also tested Brand New on physical merchandise like tote bags and mugs, and it performed beautifully. The font’s natural rhythm and soft texture made it ideal for boutique-style tags and product packaging. On a minimalist tote bag design, the font stood out with just the right amount of flair—never too busy, but always eye-catching. If you sell custom mugs or T-shirts, Brand New is perfect for short phrases, names, or monogram-style designs. It adds that personal, handmade touch that customers love without sacrificing clarity.

Font Pairing Tips for Using Brand New in Your Designs

To get the most out of Brand New, I recommend pairing it with a clean sans serif or a simple serif font. This helps balance the decorative nature of the script while keeping your design professional and readable. For example, I used Montserrat for a greeting card design with Brand New as the main headline—and the contrast was perfect. If you’re creating a logo or product tag, pairing Brand New with a bold display font can give your brand a modern yet personal identity that stands out in a crowded market.

What to Watch Out for When Using Brand New

While Brand New is incredibly versatile, it’s best suited for display use rather than long-form text. I wouldn’t recommend it for technical packaging details, ingredient lists, or product descriptions that require clarity and precision. Its decorative strokes and ligatures make it less ideal for dense information. Also, when using it with cutting machines like Cricut or Silhouette, make sure to test the font at your intended size first—especially for intricate letters like “g” or “y” that may not cut cleanly at very small sizes.

Checking Font Features Before You Sell

Before using Brand New in commercial designs, I always double-check the font’s licensing and included features. This script handwritten font should come with multiple file formats (like OTF and TTF) and ideally include alternates, ligatures, and swashes for more customization. I also look for multilingual support if I’m designing for international clients or selling digital templates. Knowing that Brand New is optimized for both print and digital use gives me confidence when offering it as part of a design package or printable product.
